"December 1942 saw voluntary Seabee enlistments cease per presidential order. The first 60 battalions had an average age of 37. Men were given advanced rank/pay based upon experience making the Seabees the highest paid group in the U.S. It was later found that several past 60 had managed to get in. To obtain these tradesmen, military age was waived to age 50. Put it in uniform to build anything, anywhere under any conditions and get the Marine Corps to train it. The solution: tap the vast pool of skilled labor in the U.S. Moreell the need for developing advance bases to project American power. The onset of hostilities clarified to Radm. Naval Construction Battalions were first conceived at Bureau of Yards and Docks (BuDocks) in the 1930s. What needed to be done was build staging bases to take the war to the enemy, across both oceans, and create the construction force to do the work. Rear Admiral Moreell completely understood the issues.
The logistics of a two theater war were daunting to conceive. When World War II broke out the United States Naval Construction Battalions ( Seabees) did not exist. DuelĪ free for all game mode, where the teams play as one unit, such as multiple battleships and pit it out against one another. Usually consisting of many tiny islands, and one central island. This mode consists of 2-8 players in teams of two fighting over control of chains of islands. The Multiplayer consists of 5 modes of which are: Island Capture The Japanese Campaign starts at the Battle of Pear Harbor, and continues in a fictional world where the Japanese could have won, you fight through 14 missions through Australia, Guadalcanal, fighting the Americans, the Australians, and the British. The American Campaigns kicks off from the end of the battle of Midway and you continue fighting historically accurate battles at Guadalcanal, Leyte, and Okinawa and more. The US campaign is a direct sequel to Battlestations Midway, whereas the Japanese campaign is based on an alternate version of history in which Japan wins the Battle of Midway and carries out its historical war plan successfully.
It offers two campaigns - one each for the United States and Japan. It is a blend of the action and real-time strategy genres, with players able to order an entire fleet around the map and also take control of individual units. Battlestations: Pacific is an action-RTS set during World War II in the Pacific Theater.
